About Uluwatu

Uluwatu is one of the most magical areas of Bali.  With it's mix of white sandy beaches, sunsets and culture it's the perfect place for a Bali wedding.

Bali's White Sandy Beaches

Nunggalan Beach

Below Wonderland Uluwatu you have one of the most exclusive and empty white sandy beaches in Bali, Nunggalan Beach. This beach offers the perfect retreat from Bali's busy beaches.

Padang Padang Beach

Walk through a cave down to a pretty beach.   A popular place with day-trippers as it's a fantastic place to learn how to surf while you are in Bali!  Be ready for a bit of a hike as there are around 170 stairs but it's worth it.

Thomas Beach

One of the lesser known beaches but great to spend the day relaxing and enjoying a coconut on the white sandy beach.

Bingin Beach

Another famous surf beach with some great warungs (small food stall) for a coconut or cocktail, Kelly's on the beach is one of our favourite.

Suluban Beach

The most famous surf beach in all of Bali.   When the waves are big this is a fantastic place to watch the professionals.   It's also a wonderful adventure down to the beach as you walk past warungs, restaurants, surf shops then through a cave to the beach.

Nyang Nyang Beach

Just up the road from Wonderland Uluwatu this is another empty white sandy beach.  Nyang Nyang beach is around 1.5kms of empty beach.  The currents here can be a little strong at times.

Dreamland Beach

A great place to watch the sunset.  This beach is popular with locals and tourists alike.

Pandawa Beach

In recent years this beach has seen a significant development with beach bars and some incredible carvings.  It's a spectacular drive down to the beach.

BALI SUNSETS

Uluwatu is full of places to watch the sunset from empty cliff top paddocks to pack a picnic to luxury 5 star resorts offering delicious cocktails and everything in-between.  Uluwatu is the best place in Bali to watch the sunset from it's high clifftops.

BALI CULTURE

Uluwatu offers a lot of cuture with one of the most famous temples in Bali, the Uluwatu Temple.  This cliff top temple offers some  fantastic views but watch out for the naughty monkeys who are always unto mischief.

Kecak Dance is a traditional Balinese dance that takes places at Uluwatu temple. During the kecak dance you will experience a  truly magical sunset from the famous  Uluwatu temple area.  The fire dance is a traditional story of Ramayana enacted in a very dramatic way. The story is about the kidnap of Sita by Ravana and finally her reunion with Rama. The magical characters along with the fire and sunset will ensure that everyone in the family  will enjoy the show.  The. kids will especially enjoy the character of Hanuman and people will laugh at his entertaining actions.
